Curriculum Vitae :

21-07-1975 Born as the second child of Nyoman Oka and Made Wati in the small, traditional village of Banyualit, North Bali.

1982 – 1987 Elementary School

1993– 1998 Tourist Guide

During this period he earned a living by taking tourists to sea by boat, on dolphin trips. During his leisure time he created straight-from-the-heart art impressions of beach life, and the nature of the mountains.

Jul-Oct 1998 Schooling in Holland

In 1998 his still unpolished talent was discovered by teachers of the Dutch Academy of Art, and he was invited to come to Holland for private schooling. In Holland he worked together with a group of colleague artists, and his artwork was displayed at several expositions. During this period his knowledge of art grew, and his confidence became strong enough to fully live the life of an artist in Bali.

1998 – Artist in Bali

Once back in Bali he built the house with studio in which he has been living since with his wife and parents. His work can been seen regularly at temporary expositions in the tourist areas of Bali

Religion: Balinese Hindu.

The old traditions and rituals of Balinese Hinduism have always inspired Made Ariana and strongly influences both his life vision and art work.
